BIO
Jessica Corr is a product designer based in New York City. Her work spans accessories, furniture, lighting and exhibition design. She is a founding member of the group Collaborative, a design collective whose work combines talents in art, architecture, product design and graphic design to create experimental and inspirational projects. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions such as the Barcelona Forum 2004, the Biennale Internationale in St. Etienne, France in 2002 and the National Design Triennial 2003 at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York, with Collaborative. She was selected in 2003 to be a participant in the Surface Magazine T.A.G. exhibition, an industry-renowned feature profiling the top industrial designers working in the United States. In addition to her independent projects, Corr consults for other designers and architects on product and material development. Her involvement in the industry led her to conceive and co-curate Transformation: New International Design, a juried exhibition to promote women working in product design which opened at Parsons School of Design in may 2003. She has been a panelist on several public programs, including, Material Pioneers, moderated by Christopher Mount and hosted by Material Connexion in collaboration with the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. Corr is a part time faculty member at Parsons School of Design where she earned her BFA in 1995.
